The renowned golf aficionado and entrepreneur became a legend in the field of golf when he took over the now celebrated Valderrama Golf Club located in Sotogrande, South Spain, making it a venue for the Ryder Cup.

It is a well-known fact that Patiño is a perfectionist and so it is not wonder that under his leadership this stunning golf course found not far from Marbella has turned into one of Europe’s leading clubs, with keen players from all over the world listed on its waiting lists.

A sport that is closely associated with Scotland in particular but also with Britain, the game of golf has now taken over Europe, America and the rest of the world. It has an audience in all parts of the world and therefore can be called an international sport, yet even though is has turned into a huge business, golf retains a charm of an earlier age – something that makes it very appealing.
