Christmas in Verona

Christmas in VeronaThe 29th International Festival of the Christmas crib in Art and Tradition will take place from 1st December to 20th January. In the suggestive setting of the Arena, it will be possible to see the Christmas cribs that come from all over the world. The exhibition includes 400 pieces, from the most important international museums and private collections.

The layout features beautiful special effects, resulting in an exhibition show where music, lights and projections help to create a magical atmosphere. The Comet Star that comes out of the Arena is the symbol of the event. Verona lends its amphitheater to the International Festival of the Nativity with the belief that the efforts of the organizers and the enthusiasm of the experts will make, as always, Christmas a wonderful event in Verona. The Festival will be open every day, including holidays, from 9.00 to 20.00.

From 23rd November to 21st December, in Piazza dei Signori, also known as Piazza Dante, there will be the typical wooden houses of the “Christkindlmarkt”, about 60 exhibitors offering traditional local crafts: glass, wood and ceramic Christmas decoration, gastronomic specialities and delicious Christmas cakes. Visiting the Christmas Market in Verona means to dive into the magical tradition of Christmas in Verona like in a fairy-tale.
