Filmmakers flock to Puerto Banús for the Marbella International Film Festival

This month saw the red carpet rolled out to welcome the arrival of Marbella’s International Film Festival, with stars in their best attire posing for the paparazzi. Although not as recognised as the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, this five-day cinematic event attracted hundreds of film fanatics from across the world to the glamorous seaside resort of Marbella for an array of premieres and celebrations.

Many exclusive and unmissable parties came with the territory of being hosted in the playground of the rich and famous, including the VIP black tie Gala Awards Ceremony with its lively cocktail reception, sumptuous five course meals and live music.

Amongst the famous attendees was none other than spoon bending magician Uri Geller, a former friend of Michael Jackson, who starred in the world premiere of ‘The All Dayer’.

As Marbella closes the curtains on its 8th International Film Festival, next year’s promises to be even more extravagant rivaling the established and prestigious festivals of Cannes and Venice.
