Porto Rotondo Festival 2013Don’t miss your chance to attend one of Sardinia’s most lively festivals this summer in Porto Rotondo, where a series of exciting events will be held from the end of June until the end of September.

Porto Rotondo’s yacht club is set to organise a variety of activities for both sailing and fishing aficionados alike, such as competitions, regattas, parades of historical sailing boats and fishing tournaments.

Cinema-lovers can take their pick from an interesting 14-day schedule of film screenings for all ages. The Mario Cerolo theatre will show some of the best films from the latest season such as the Italian film “Benvenuto Presidente”, as well as “Django Unchained” and the latest animated films such as “Ice Age 4: Continental Drift”.

The evenings of the 27 June and 30 July will be dedicated to little ones. From 6pm onwards, “Porto Rotondo Surprise” will transform the Piazza San Marco into a world just for kids with a schedule jam-packed with games, activities, shows and musical performances such as “Peter and the Wolf”, as well as some of Aesop’s best-loved fables.

Porto Rotondo Festival 2013Music will play a principle role throughout the festival; a backdrop of diverse musical genres will bring the festival to life creating an enchanting atmosphere. World-class guests such as Eastern-european violinist Teofil Milenkovic is set to play alongside Italian pianist Dario Bonuccelli, with contrasting performances by famous Italian singer-songwriter Gino Paoli and Blues singer Alex Britti.

The Porto Rotondo foundation, with the support of Sardinia and the city of Olbia, is sure to offer an unforgettable summer of a variety of activities with something for everyone.
